Description
Here is a Daeufer’s Beer Lighted Sign from the Daeufer-Lieberman Brewing Company located in Allentown, PA. This Daeufers Beer Sign is from the 1940’s era and is in excellent condition for it’s age. The only condition issue with this sign is it’s appears that the reverse-paint on the pilsener glass has flaked off, although it doesn’t take away from the display of the sign
This Daeufer’s Sign was made by the Brunhoff Manufacturing Company located in Cincinnati, OH. It is made up of a thick piece of embossed reverse-painted glass mounted in a metal body with backlit light bulbs on the inside. These styles of beer signs didn’t last too long because of the materials and construct of the signs made them very easy to tip over and break; a lot of them didn’t survive. Signs like these were meant to be displayed on the bar back or hung on the walls of bars and taverns.
