Continental Beer Cardboard Sign

Here is a Esquire Premium Beer Sign from the Jones Brewing Company located in Smithton, PA.  This Esquire Premium Beer Sign is from the 1950’s era and is in excellent condition considering how old it is. This sign was made by Advertising Products Inc. located in Cincinnati, OH.  It’s made of a piece of curved reverse-painted glass mounted in a back-lit metal body.  Signs like these were used as sconce lights and bar back displays in taverns and distributors to advertise Jones Brewery products.

Here is a Duquesne Pilsener Beer Sign from the Duquesne Brewing Company located in Pittsburgh, PA.  This Duquesne Pilsener Beer Sign is from the 1930s era and is in excellent condition considering how old it is. The sign is approximately 16″ by 8″ and is made of reverse-painted glass mounted in a metal frame with a cardboard backer. The sign was made by the S. S. Zentner & Company located in Beaver, PA.  Signs like these would have been hung on the wall or displayed with the cardboard easel back on a bar countertop.
