Newman Brothers Glass Paperweight
Here is a Newman Brothers Glass Paperweight from the Newman Brothers Inc. located in Pittsburgh, PA. This paperweight dates about the 1930s era, is approximately 3.5" wide, and is in excellent condition for its age.
The Newman Brothers Inc. company was a manufacturer and supplier of brewery equipment and products including draft beer glass tap knobs, bottle caps / crowns, openers, filters, brewing machinery, hops, and malt; and displays everything as well as an image of the company on the paperweight. Paperweights like this one would have been used a promotional items to advertise the Newman Bros. company.

Note: This item came from a descendant of a brewery employee who worked at the Elk Brewery. Our guess is that he or the brewery marked the bench for ownership. If's a unique piece with a great story, it has a "folk art" feel to it in someways too.
