Here is a Sunshine Bock Beer Bottle from the Sunshine Brewing Company located in Reading PA. The Sunshine Bock Beer Bottle Label is a bit rarer then the regular label. The Sunshine Bock Beer Bottle label is a hard variation to find; you tend to see more of the regular common labels then you do the Bock Labels. Sunshine Bock Beer was brewed from 1951 to 1970 almost all the way until before the brewery closed 1971.
Bock beer is a sign of the end of Winter and beginning of Spring and is always brewed and served in the beginning of Spring around the month of May. the Bock Beer style is similar to a lager from the brewing process of lagering. The difference between bock and lagers is a bock usually has a heavier body and higher ABV. The Goat graphic on the Sunshine Bock Beer Bottle label is also a traditional sign of bock beer. Usually when you see a bock beer label, print, tap, or ad there is always some kind of goat graphic on it.
The brewery also packaged their bock beer in Sunshine Bock Beer Cans and large quart bottles as well as on draft. The cans themselves are also pretty rare and hard to find. Currently I’m actively looking a Sunshine Bock Beer Can to add to my collection. Hopefully some day I will find one.
