Here is a Star Beer TOC Sign from the Penn State Brewing Company (formerly the F. A. Rieker Brewery) located in Lancaster, PA. This early post-prohibition era Star Beer TOC Sign is from 1933 and is in excellent condition for its age.
It is approximately 13″ by 9.75″ and made of tin wrapped over a cardboard backer. The advertising text the reads “Star Beer In Bottles On Draught” and “It Leads Them All” around the star insignia. While the graphics depict the Star emblem that the brewery used in a lot of their advertising as well as a labeled bottle of Penn State Brewery Star Beer.
There is another variation of this TOC sign with similar graphics except the brewery name is “Penn Star Brewery”. I am actively looking for the other variation to add to my collection; please contact me if you have one (or even a cleaner example of this sign) and are interested in selling.
