Here is a Scheidt’s Stock Ale Sign from the Adam Scheidt Brewing Company located in Norristown, PA. This Valley Forge Stock Ale Sign is from the 1930s era and is in fair condition considering how old it is.
This sign was made by Grammes Inc. located in Allentown, PA; it measures approximately 13″ by 8.5″ and is made of lithographed printed tin wrapped over a cardboard backer. This style sign is known as a tin-over-cardboard (also known as a “TOC”) because of material it is made of. Signs like these would have been displayed inside of taverns to advertise Adam Scheidt Valley Forge Stock Ale to patrons.
