Here is a Roehrich & Raab Stag Charger Sign from the Roehrich & Raab Brewing Company located in Reading, PA. This pre-prohibition era Roehrich & Raab Sign is from between 1890 – 1903.
The graphics on this Roehrich and Raab Charger is of a german stag similar to an elk or large deer with the text “Porter” at the bottom. This sign would have hung in a tavern or the brewery to advertise Roehrich Raab Beer, Ale, and Porter to patrons and customers. There is actually another variation of the charger sign except with the different image of three monks sitting around a table drinking ale. Click here to view the other variation from my collection.
