Here is a Penn State Brewery Crate from the Penn State Brewing Company located in Lancaster, PA. This Penn State Brewery Crate is from 1933 and is in excellent condition considering as old as it is.
It is approximately 18″ by 12″ by 10″ and made of wood with stenciled graphics on all the sides. The graphics and typography reads ‘Penn State Brewery”, “Star Beer”, and “Lancaster, PA”. Star Beer was one of the Lancaster brewery’s flagship beers produced during the 1930’s. On the side of the case you can see that the Pennsylvania Tax Stamp is still visible on the crate with the tax being 8 cents in taxes paid to the state for the case of beer.
