Here is a Old Reading Beer Printers Plate from the Old Reading Brewing Company located in Reading, PA. This Old Reading Beer Printers Plate is from the 1930’s to 1940’s era and is in excellent condition for it’s age. The “wooden shingle” graphic on this Old Reading printers plate was a prominent graphic that the brewery used in a variety of advertising items during the time.
This lithograph printer’s plate is made out of solid brass and would have been used to print the graphics on cardboard cases and crate. There is even still some red ink in the crevasses of the wood grain of the graphic on the plate as this was a single color plate.
