Here is an Old Reading Beer Barn Sign from the Old Reading Brewing Company located in Reading, PA. This Old Reading Beer Barn Sign is from the 1940’s era and is in excellent condition for it’s age. It is made out of a cardboard-like composite material and would have originally been placed in a wooden stand for display as a bar back sign. This Old Reading Beer Sign was made by the Kirby-Coggeshall-Steinau Co. sign manufacturing company located in Milwaukee, WI.
I love the graphics on this sign with the addition of the red bard with the PA Dutch style hex signs painted on the side of the barn. The lettering “Old Reading Beer” is also embossed on the sign too. There is also another variation of this sign that was made for the Old Reading Brewery; it’s a similar style sign except the graphics are completely different. That style of sign advertised the brewery’s flagship beer known as Pale Reserve and pictured a Conestoga Wagon, click here to view that variation.
