Here is a Münchner Beer Ball Tap Knob from the Sprenger Brewing Company located in Lancaster, PA. This Münchner Beer Ball Tap Knob is probably from the late 1930’s era and is in excellent condition for it’s age. The face of this ball tap is made of a solid piece of porcelain enamel with the graphics printed over top; rarely you see faces made of solid porcelain enamel. Münchner Beer was one of the Sprenger Brewery’s flagship beers during that time. Münchner also known as Helles Beer is even made to this day by various breweries around the world; the word Münchner isn’t widely used anymore but rather Helles which is German for “Bright”.
It’s a very nice ball tap knob and I’m very happy to have it in my collection. I hope to find other variations of Sprenger Ball Tap Knobs in the future to add to my collection.
