Here is a Kaier’s Old Diamond Ale Sign from the Kaier Brewing Company located in Mahanoy City, PA. This Kaier’s Ale Sign is from the 1930’s era and is in excellent condition for it’s age. Old Diamond Ale was of the Kaier Brewery’s flagship beers from 1933 to 1947.
This Kaier’s Old Diamond Ale Sign was made by the Lee See Art Sign Company located in Kewaunee, WI. It is made of an embossed and painted sheet of aluminum with a string hanger. The graphics on the sign show the man riding a horse with hops which was the branded logo of the Kaier’s Brewery since it was established in 1880. The sign also features the words “Union Made” which is a reference to the brewers union that occupied the brewery at the time.
There is actually another variation of this Kaier’s Leyse Sign; it has similar graphics but advertises generic Kaiers Beer and is colored in red, black, and silver. I am actively looking for that variation to add to my collection.
