Here is a Heurich Maerzen Beer Sign from the Christian Heurich Brewing Company located in Washington DC. This Heurich Maerzen Beer Sign is from the late 1800s era and is in excellent condition considering how old it is.
The sign is approximately 24″ by 18″ and is made of reverse-painted etched glass mounted in an oak and plaster frame. It was made by the Rodier & Fitzgerald Company located in New York City, NY. Maerzen Beer also known as Märzen or Märzenbier is a traditional German beer style primarily brewed in preparation for Oktoberfest. This style is characterized by a fuller body, and a sweeter and often less hoppy flavor, typically containing between 5.1 to 6.0% ABV.
