Here is a Helbs Lager Beer Glass Sign from the Keystone Brewing Company located in York, PA. This Helbs Lager Beer Sign is pre-prohibition era from around the 1900’s and is in very good condition for it’s age.
This Helb’s Beer Sign is approximately 10″ wide and is made of reverse-painted glass, gold and silver leafed lettering, and a friction-fitted brass chain around the outside edge of the glass. I believe this glass sign was made by the Rodier & Fitzgerald Company located in New York City, NY. The graphics on this Rodier & Fitzgerald Company sign are very detailed with the is of the brewery propritor’s insignia TRH inside the keystone icon which stood for Theo. R Helb. The typography throughout the sign of the words “Helb’s Extra Fine Lager” is done in very fine detailed gold and silver leafing on acid etched glass.
