Here is a Hamm’s Beer Tin Sign from the Theodore Hamm Brewing Company located in St. Paul, MN. This pre-prohibition era Hamm’s Beer Tin Sign is from the early 1900’s era and is in good condition for it’s age.
This Hamms Beer Sign was made by the Donaldson Art Sign Company located in Covington, KY. It is approximately 36″ wide and made of embossed tin. Signs like these would have been displayed on the side of taverns, hotels, and distributors to advertise Hamm’s Preferred Stock Beer to patrons. The graphics on this Hamm’s Beer Sign is of the scripted Hamm’s lettering accompanied by the pre-prohibition era eagle insignia with the lettering Hamm St. Paul. The advertising promotes the brewery’s “Fully Aged Preferred Stock Beer” which was used on a lot of their promotion back in those days.
There are actually 3 variations of this sign all with similar graphics as well as one curved porcelain Hamm Beer sign. I am actively looking for the other variations of this sign.
