Here is a Brave-Man Work Shirt Sign from the Cohen-Fein Company located in Wilkes-Barre, PA. This Brave-Man Shirt Sign is from between 1933 to 1935 and is in excellent condition considering how old it is.
This sign was made by the American Art Works located in Coshocton, OH. It’s approximately 13″ by 9″ and is made of tin wrapped over a cardboard backer with the American Art Works logo and sign cleaning and care direction on the back.
The graphics on this sign are amazing with the use of the Native American Brave-Man logo and man wearing a blue work shirt. On the lower left corner, there is a NRA (National Recovery Administration) “Blue Eagle” membership logo which was popularly used on signs from this time. The NRA Blue Eagle imagery on advertising signs only lasted from between 1933 to 1935 and was banned per a government mandate put into effect.
