The Zeiser Bros Sign Company was established by Ewald Reiser and his brothers in 1890 located in St. Louis, MO. The Zeiser Brothers Sign Co. was best known for designing and manufacturing large outdoor porcelain enamel signs; a lot of the porcelain signs that Zeiser Bros produced had half-rounded “bullnose” ends and neon lettering.
Zeiser Bros Company produced porcelain signs for various companies and industries across the country, among these industries were predominately shoe manufacturers and breweries. Zeiser Bros Co. was also responsible for providing one of the early designs of the Anheuser Busch logo; that logo portrays an eagle inside of the letter A.
Zeiser Brothers Signs created large outdoor signs for shoe companies like Red Goose Shoes, Nann-Bush Shoes, Polly Parrot Shoes, and T. N. Braddock Shoes. Among the breweries that Zeiser Bros Sign Company created brewery and beer signs for were breweries like Barbey’s, Sunshine, Gibbons, Poth, Berlin, Coors, Anheuser Busch, Budweiser, Michelob, Berliner, Vat, Empire, Griesedieck Brothers, and Stag just to name a few.
