The John B. Schmidt Sign Company was established by John B. Schmidt in the late 1800s located in St. Louis, MO. They produced large outdoor reverse-painted glass advertising signs; in most cases, these signs are single-colored in red or blue with clear lettering. One of their largest customers was manufacturing signs for the brewing industry for such breweries as Anheuser-Busch, Wagner, Gast, Hyde Park, H. Grone, Central, and Lemp just to name a few.
Unfortunately, not much else is known about this particular sign maker.
