The G. Felsenthal & Sons were established in 1892 by Gabriel “Gabe” Felsenthal and his eldest children Lester and Irving Felsenthal located in Chicago, IL. G. Felsenthal & Sons began producing advertising cards, celluloid pins and pocket mirrors, and signs. They produced magic motion picture advertisement cards and “Radiant Reflex” Signs. The Radiant Reflex signs brand referred to tin-over-cardboard TOC signs.
During World War II, Felsenthal supported the war effort by producing plastic calculating instruments used by the Army Air Forces and the Navy Bureau of Aeronautics. They changed their company from G. Felsenthal & Sons in the 1940s, G. Felsenthal & Sons, Inc. in the 1950s, Felsenthal Plastics Inc. in 1971, and Felsenthal Instrument Co. in 1972. After World War II, they produced a variety of plastic items for commercial and technical purposes.
They produced advertising items for companies and organizations like Robin Hood Brewing Company, Hershey, First National Bank, the National Football League, the University of Illinois, and the United States Government just to name a few.
