The Embosograf Corporation was established in the 1950s located at the Embosograf Building in Chicago, IL. They produced cardboard, foil, and plastic advertising signs for various companies across the country. The type of plastic signs that they produced are referred to “vacuum-formed signs”. The tom vacuum formed is actually the process where plastic is formed over a mold or embossed piece of metal
They produced signs primarily for soft drink soda manufacturers including the Coca-Cola Company as well as for the brewing industry; breweries like Barbey’s Inc., Sunshine, Fuhrmann & Schmidt, Duquesne, Schmidt, Buckeye, Olympia, Red Top, Fall City, Stag, and East Side just to name a few.
They are still is in business to this day under the name Embosograf Corporation of America. They produce point-of-sale advertising signs for various companies and industries across the United States and Canada.
