306-308 N. Fourth Street / St. Louis, MO
The Buxton & Skinner Stationary Company was established in 1881 located in St. Louis, MO. They produced lithography prints, metal advertising signs, calendars, stationary, tradecards, paperweights, tickets, postcards, and labels for various companies in the mid-west. They also produced office stationary tools like binders and paper hole punches too.
Among the companies and industries that they produced products for were breweries like Anheuser-Busch Brewery Inc., Lemp Brewing Company, Louis Obert Brewing Company and Ferdrick Heim Brewing Company just to name a few. Sometime in the early 1900s, they eventually changed their names to Buxton & Skinner Printing Company.
It is unknown exactly when the company closed its doors and dissolved its assets. The original building is no longer standing and has since been replaced with a parking garage.
