What started my interest in this hobby?
The story goes back in 2012, my wife and I moved into our first house together just outside of Reading, PA. In that house there was an empty sunroom that we didn’t really know what to do with at the time. That Christmas she gifted me two Old Reading Beer Tap Knobs from the Old Reading Brewing Company local to Reading, PA. She then said “You should collect this type of stuff and decorate the sunroom with these brewery relics”. So let’s just say this hobby hooked me and after over 10+ years, lots of sleepless nights, thousands of miles traveled and tens of thousands of dollars spent; I have amassed an impressive advanced collection.
I eat, breathe, and drink 🍺 the Breweriana hobby! I think I gravitate towards this hobby because of four things: I am a Home Brewer, History Buff, Craft Beer Aficionado, and Professional Creative.
Combine those interests and profession together, you are left with a “Breweriana Aficionado”. 🍺🍺🍺

I find that old photographs serve as a “Window into the Past”. I also collect old photographs and tin types of bar room, saloon, and brewery cabinet cards and seek out the advertising within them.
