Here is a Schmidt’s Brewery Railroad Sign from the C. Schmidt & Sons Brewing Company located in Philadelphia, PA. This Schmidt’s Brewery Beer Railroad Sign is from the mid 1940’s era and is in excellent condition considering how old it is. The text across the bottom suggested it dates during World War II with the text that reads “Keep Buying War Bonds and Stamps”.
The Schmidts Beer Sign was produced to commemorate the connection of two railway systems in 1869 completing the Transcontinental Railroad in Promontory, UT. There is a detailed illustration of the event with the title typography reading “When the Golden Spike United the Nation”.
