Here is a DuBois Export Beer Sign from the DuBois Brewing Company located in DuBois, PA. This DuBois Export Beer Sign is from the 1950’s era and is in excellent condition considering how old it is.
This sign was made by Advertising Products Inc. located in Cincinnati, OH. It’s made of a piece of curved reverse-painted glass mounted in a back-lit metal body. Signs like these were used as sconce lights and bar back displays in taverns and distributors to advertise DuBois products.

Continental Scotch Ale Sign
Here is a Continental Scotch Ale Sign from the Continental Brewing Company located in Philadelphia, PA. This pre-prohibition era Continental Scotch Ale Sign is from the early 1900s era and is in excellent condition considering how old it is.
It is approximately 12″ by 16″ and is made of metal with lithography printed graphics. The graphics depict a patriot soldier at camp with a large labeled bottle of Continental Scotch Ale. Originally, this sign would have been displayed in a wooden frame. Signs like these would have been displayed inside of a tavern to advertising Continental Brewing Company products including beer, ale, and porter along with other styles too.
Canadian Pale Lager Sign
Here is a Canadian Pale Lager Sign from the Canadian Pale Products Association (previously the Graupner Brewing Company) located in Harrisburg, PA. This Canadian Pale Lager Sign is from between 1930 to 1932 and is in very good condition considering how old it is.
The sign is approximately 20″ by 14″ and is made of embossed metal. Canadian Pale Lager was a prohibition-era malted beverage similar to “near-beer” which had an alcohol percentage between 1/2% – 1% alcohol by volume. Signs like these would have been displayed in general stores or cafes to advertise these malted beverages during prohibition when alcohol was outlawed throughout the United States.
