Here is a John Deere Porcelain Sign from the John Deere Company located in Moline, IL. This John Deere Porcelain Sign is from between 1936 to 1950 and is in very good condition considering how old it is. The graphics on this sign depict the early logo that was used during the time and the text across the bottom that reads “Quality Farm Equipment”.
This sign was made by the Burdick Enamel Sign Company located in Chicago, IL. It is approximately 72″ wide by 24″ and is made of porcelain enamel over steel. Signs like this one would have been displayed outside of an agricultural equipment dealership, service station, hardware store, or general store. The Burdick Enamel Sign Company produced this sign as a 72″ single-sided version and a much larger 108″ wide version too.
